The SilverSeal® Hydrogel Wound Care Dressing is a polymer-based gel designed to effectively combat pathogens in exudating wounds through the utilization of silver technology. This technology has gained significant popularity in hospitals, particularly due to the rise of antibiotic-resistant bacteria such as MRSA. The dressing comprises approximately 90% water, enabling it to be bioactive without the need for pre-wetting. Additionally, it has the capacity to absorb five times its weight in wound exudate while remaining non-adherent, thereby minimizing trauma during removal. Exclusive Institutional 6″ x 6″ size.
Vacutex™ is a type of wound dressing designed to facilitate healing in difficult to heal wounds, particularly those with moderate to heavy exudate and slough. This product uses capillary action to remove exudate and stimulate healing. Vacutex dressings have a patented 3-layer structure that creates a low-level pump through capillary action, similar to Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT). This product creates a negative pressure of 68mmHg which helps draw out exudate and debris from the wound. Vacutex can influence oxygen, exudate and edema levels in and around the wound, potentially improving oxygenation and microcirculation. Vacutex dressings come in a range of sizes and is a non-adhesive product.
